Benefit from faster load times, faster transfer rates, reduced power consumption, superior durability and silent operation - convert your notebook or desktop PC from hard disk drive storage to high speed, high quality SSD!
The Verbatim SATA-II Solid State Drive Kit includes everything you need to upgrade your notebook or desktop PC from hard disk drive storage to high speed, high quality SSD. In addition to the Verbatim 2.5” SSD, the kit includes easy-to-use cloning software and a 2.5” external drive enclosure to enable the original hard disk drive to be reused as a USB-attached external hard drive.
The kit includes:
• Verbatim SATA-II Solid State Drive
• 2.5” External Drive enclosure for the original hard disk drive which can then be used as a removable drive
• USB 2.0 cable
• NTI ECHO cloning software to copy data and the operating system
• 3.5'' mounting bracket, screws, and a Molex to SATA power cable for optional desktop installation.
Solid State Drives use flash memory which offers high data transfer rates (read/write speeds) when installed in a notebook or desktop PC. There are no moving parts in an SSD which means they operate silently and require less power resulting in longer battery life.
Solid State Drives are also shock and vibration resistant making them more durable in harsher environments and offering faster system performance than standard hard drives.
Verbatim SATA-II SSD feature SMART command support, Trim Command Support (Windows 7), and Native Command Queuing (NCQ) support.
